IWhat started with shoes in the 1990s grew into something much bigger. When founder Louise discovered the traditional craft of macramé in Bangladesh, she fell in love with its craftsmanship and the community behind it. The first word bag, Smile, marked the beginning of The Jacksons as we know it today.

Today, The Jacksons works with women across more than 60 villages in south-west Bangladesh. Each piece is made by hand using traditional techniques, from the iconic jute bags to embroidery and beadwork. At the heart of the brand is a clear mission: to preserve craftsmanship, make responsible choices and empower women through fair employment and direct payment.
