Important notice: update retail window display pricing

Important notice

Antwerp, February 2024 - The FPS Economy recently announced that they will pay extra attention to price display in (clothing) boutiques. This also applies to their shop windows. In response, we would like to draw our customers' attention to the updated guidelines on this.

Recently, the Federal Government Service Economy announced to increase its controls on correct price display in (clothing) boutiques. This applies both in-store and in shop windows. For this reason, we list below the latest guidelines of art. VI.3 WER :

1. Except in public sales, any enterprise offering goods for sale to consumers shall indicate the price thereof in writing and unambiguously. If the goods are displayed for sale, the price shall also be indicated legibly and visibly.

2. Any business offering homogeneous services to consumers shall indicate the price thereof in writing, legibly, prominently and unambiguously.

It is important that these rules are followed as closely as possible. Infringements are punishable by a fine of between EUR 250 and EUR 10,000.

In addition, the Federal Goverment Service Economy also checks whether (clothing) boutiques correctly and clearly state their VAT numbers on all social media channels used by this boutique and/or its website.

We hope this informs our customers sufficiently. If there are any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at: info@fashionclub70.be.
