In honor of our 50th anniversary, we’re celebrating the people behind Fashion Club 70. Up Close With those who have been part of the company for many years. A series of 12 people, the whole year round, that define the half-century of FC70.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE FASHION CLUB 70 IN ONE WORD?

I would go for dedication. It’s something our founder has expected from the very beginning, but more importantly, it’s something that’s lived and proven by the people who work here every day. It’s something you earn, and something we proudly live up to.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE WITHIN THE COMPANY AND WHERE DOES YOUR EXPERTISE LIE?

I’m responsible for the hard facts and figures on the HR side. You won’t see me in a job interview, but I’m the one making sure salaries are paid on time every month. Editor’s note: in her 23 years at the company, Christine has never missed a single salary run. Not once. I also take care of the vehicle fleet, internal orders, and the practical side of HR.

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS, AND HOW HAS FC70 RESPONDED TO IT?

In the past, the fashion world ran on two seasons, with quieter periods in between. Now, it’s all about maintaining momentum year-round. At FC70, this shift has brought a constant buzz to the workplace. With more people involved than ever before, the energy is nonstop, everyone is engaged and contributing every single day.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY AT FC70?

Not the most glamorous setting, but definitely iconic: fire escape. Back in the days when smoking was still a thing, we’d gather there for a quick break and some fresh air. Sharp at 15:00, it became our unofficial meeting spot, where colleagues from all levels of the company connected. A true if you know, you know kind of thing.
